A Bit Of History
The Seaside News is the longest running publication of it’s kind in the area. Started in September 1998 from his bedroom in his parents house, owner Mat Hardwicke has developed the magazine from a single colour A5 publication with a circulation of 5,000 copies just covering Porthcawl – to the full colour B5, 64 page publication it is today with a monthly circulation of 27,000 copies covering many areas of the Bridgend County Borough. This distribution is the biggest of its kind (by far) in the Bridgend County Borough. In fact, we can’t find a bigger like for like distribution in Wales.
Estimated Monthly Readership Of 100,000 People
It is estimated on average 3.5 people read each copy of free door-to-door publications like the Seaside News. This is without taking into consideration the thousands of people that read our online version available here on our website. No other magazine in our Borough of Bridgend can compete with this level of readership.
Digital Publication
The magazine is also available to view here on our website 3-7 days before the paper version hits the streets from the 1st of each month. Just click on the front cover image of the latest issue on our homepage. We are currently getting thousands of people viewing the magazine online not just locally, but from as far afield as New Zealand, Australia, Canada, America, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and even Russia, to name but a few.
Proven Performance
We have been running for over 19 years now and more than 90% of advertisers are regulars, with many having been with us from the start back in 1998! The proof’s in the pudding as they say… these businesses wouldn’t still be advertising if it wasn’t working for them. Please feel free to contact any advertiser in the latest issue of the Seaside News to see how advertising with us has worked for them.
