WHO WE ARE

A BIT OF HISTORY

The Seaside News is the longest running publication of its kind in the area.

Started in September 1998, the magazine has developed from a single colour A5 publication, with a circulation of 5,000 copies – to the full colour B5, 64-page publication it is today, currently with a monthly circulation of 17,000 copies.

In addition to the paper version, the Seaside News has been available to view in digital form (online) since August 2014.

No other publication is delivered to the towns we hand deliver the magazine to every month.

We cover 99% of all homes in the following towns, every month of the year:

PORTHCAWL, SOUTH CORNELLY, NORTH CORNELLY, KENFIG, MAUDLAM, PYLE, KENFIG HILL, CEFN CRIBWR, PENYFAI & LALESTON.

A captive audience awaits your business….

This direct distribution to homes (as opposed to just being dropped in shops), we believe, is an extremely important factor you need to consider when deciding where to advertise.

PROVEN PERFORMANCE

25 years of the Seaside News, with more than 90% of advertisers being ‘regulars’.

A significant number of our advertisers have actually been with us right from the start - back in 1998! The ‘proof is in the pudding’ as the saying goes! These businesses are on long-term advertising deals - getting regular local business, by advertising regularly with us.

Don’t just take our word for it though! Get in touch with any business in the current issue to see what they have to say about advertising with us - you wont get a better recommendation than that!

Testimonials

We’re only happy when you are! Many thanks to those of you who’ve let us know…

A very famous Advertising Guru once said, ‘only half of advertising works, but you’ll never know which half’. So, to find the half that worked we cancelled all our other advertising. We renew with the Seaside News every year now!”

Just wanted to say thank you very much for the great work you did on our advert, we are so pleased with the end result. We have seen an increase in our sales from the Porthcawl area as a direct result of the advert.”

I set up my handyman/property maintenance business in November 2015 and initial customers for me, at that time, were family and friends - but I needed more. I was advised by one customer to try advertising in the Seaside News and in February 2016 I placed my first advert. With help from Mat and his team, we agreed a logo with wording etc. and out it went in the next issue.

Results from the advert were instantaneous and I have gained a lot of work and customers through the Seaside News over the years. I tried similar magazine adverts in different areas in the early days but none came even close to matching the positive results from the Seaside News. Since that time, I have advertised in pretty much every issue since.

I cannot fault Mat and the Seaside News. Thanks for everything and best wishes for your future success and that of your many other advertisers.”
